Senior Project Manager – Data Initiatives Location: Hybrid in Cincinnati, OH- Will consider remote in EST Duration: 18 month initial contract Overview We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of complex, data-focused projects that directly support business strategy and decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, technology, and business needs. You’ll be responsible for guiding projects from concept through delivery, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities β€’ Lead cross-functional initiatives involving data platforms, integrations, and analytics solutions. β€’ Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable project plans. β€’ Manage all phases of project execution, including planning, risk assessment, scheduling, and delivery. β€’ Oversee efforts such as cloud migrations, data pipeline development, dashboard/reporting solutions, and automation improvements. β€’ Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on progress, KPIs, and adoption. β€’ Work closely with data architects and engineers to ensure infrastructure supports long-term business needs. β€’ Apply Agile project management methods (Scrum or Kanban) and tools like Jira or Confluence to track deliverables. β€’ Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance data and analytics capabilities. Qualifications β€’ 6+ years of project management experience, preferably leading data and analytics initiatives. β€’ Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or Data Science) or equivalent experience. β€’ Hands-on experience managing data-centric programs, including governance and quality practices. β€’ Familiarity with modern data tools and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, or BigQuery. β€’ Strong ability to collaborate with executives, engineers, and business teams. β€’ Exceptional communication skills, able to make technical concepts clear for non-technical audiences. Preferred Experience β€’ Professional certifications (PMP, Agile, SAFe, Six Sigma, etc.). β€’ Exposure to visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. β€’ Industry background in data-heavy environments (technology, healthcare, digital media, or similar). β€’ Knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus but not required.
