Position Title: Project Scheduler
Pay Rate: $66.00 - $76.00/hour
Location: Pomona, CA, Hybrid (Onsite Wednesday & Thursday)
Duration: 12‑month contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support Design Engineering projects by managing schedules, performance metrics, and reporting. This role partners closely with engineering and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure project delivery, resource planning, and performance visibility.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain the Design Engineering project portfolio schedule for assigned region and/or engineering discipline.
• Provide Design Engineering reporting on project lists, scope, and status of assignments.
• Coordinate project status updates using Smart Turnaround Tool (STT), integrating inputs from Excel, Access, and Power BI.
• Facilitate Design Engineering change requests and re‑baseline project schedules as needed.
• Create, manage, and track Design Engineering metrics to ensure performance targets are met.
• Facilitate and monitor resource planning activities, including LRP, EPEF, and resource histograms.
• Conduct analysis of company performance metrics, including financial, operational, and customer data.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into organizational performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure performance metrics align with business goals and objectives.
• Monitor KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend actions to enhance business performance.
• Provide guidance on performance goal setting, action plan development, and progress tracking.
Required & Desired Experience
• Experience supporting design engineering and/or construction schedules.
• Strong background in Project Controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access, SAP, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Intermediate knowledge of Primavera P6, including filters, layouts, reporting, histograms, and schedule assessment.
• Hands‑on experience with WBS structures and activity logic that drives P6 schedules.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and large data set organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across cross‑functional teams and multiple management levels.
• Certifications in Continuous Improvement or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
Education & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of schedule updating and reporting experience using Primavera P6.
• 7+ years of experience preparing or supporting performance data analysis and reporting.
