Position: Project Scheduler, Project Controls
Position Title: Operational Readiness Contract Scheduler
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46241
Contract Length: 12 β 24+ months with potential extension

The Project Scheduler / Project Controls Scheduler with Oracle Primavera P6 will support the development and maintenance of integrated schedules that align with operational readiness activities for a major pharmaceutical initiative. This individual will partner with project managers, operations, quality, engineering, and regulatory teams to ensure readiness activities are planned, tracked, and completed in line with project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Develop and maintain detailed operational readiness schedules using Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet.
β’ Collaborate with functional leads (operations, quality, engineering, validation, supply chain) to gather inputs, define dependencies, and create an integrated readiness schedule.
β’ Track progress against readiness milestones, update timelines, and identify risks to on-time completion.
β’ Provide regular schedule updates, variance reports, and critical path analyses to leadership.
β’ Ensure alignment between project schedules, construction timelines, and operational readiness activities. Recommend and implement schedule improvement actions and best practices
β’ Facilitate schedule review meetings with stakeholders to drive accountability and progress.
β’ Support risk analysis, contingency planning, and schedule recovery strategies.
β’ Ensure adherence to company standards, GMP compliance, and regulatory requirements as they relate to readiness activities.
β’ Work closely with contractors and vendors to track deliverables tied to readiness milestones.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or related field.
β’ 3+ years of experience in scheduling with Oracle Primavera P6 project scheduling software along with MS Office Project, or Smartsheet
β’ Ability to interface with data visualization dashboards β Power BI or Tableau
β’ Demonstrated experience supporting operational readiness, commissioning, or startup in a regulated environment (preferably pharmaceuticals).
β’ Strong understanding of project controls, critical path methodology, and integrated schedule management.
β’ Knowledge of GMP, FDA, or ISO requirements.
β’ Ability to facilitate cross-functional planning sessions and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate scheduling risks.
