Role description
Construction Scheduler
We have an immediate opportunity for a Construction Scheduler for the Utility Industry in the Los Angeles area. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the design engineering project portfolio schedule for designated regions and/or Engineering discipline.
Duties and Responsibilities
β’ Responsible for providing Engineering reporting on project list, scope and status of assignments.
β’ Experience using STT (Smart Turnaround Tool) This will be used for project status updates using inputs from Excel, Access, and Power BI.
β’ Process Design Engineering Change request to re-baseline project schedules
β’ Manage delivery of performance targets by creating and managing Design Engineering metrics
β’ Monitor Design Engineering resource planning (LRP, EPEF, Histograms)
β’ Ability to analyze company performance metric including financial, operation, and customer metrics
β’ Experience maintaining performance management dashboards and reports that provide visibility into companyβs performance
β’ Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure performance metrics are aligned with business goals and objectives.
β’ Experience with monitoring and measuring performance against key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to improve business performance.
β’ Previous experience providing guidance and support in setting performance goals, developing action plans, and monitoring progress toward objectives.
Education and Experience
β’ Bachlorβs degree or higher in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields
β’ 5 yearsβ experience scheduling updates and reporting in using P6
β’ 7 yearsβ experience preparing or supporting performance data analysis and reporting.
β’ Must have Construction scheduling experience working with design engineering
β’ Strong Project Controls experience
β’ Proficiency in Access, SAP, and Visualization tools such as Bower BI
β’ Certification in Continuous Improvement or Lean Six Sigma desired
β’ Intermediate level using Primavera (P6) to build reports, create histograms, and assess schedulers
β’ Experience with WBS (work breakdown structure) and relationships/logic amount activities that drive the dates in a P6 project schedule.
β’ Ability to organize large date sets on Excel using formula and pivot tables
β’ Strong oral and written communications skills to manage dialogue with cross functional teams and across different levels of management.
