This is a short-term contract assignment in our client's Houston office beginning November 24, 2025 and ending April 15, 2026. Key Roles and Responsibilities β€’ Analyze and map RFQ, order, and trade lifecycles to formulate solutions that improve quality and efficiency across trading systems β€’ Serve as a subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives, providing guidance to development, QA, infrastructure, and support teams β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, support, and technical business users β€’ Deliver scalable algorithmic trading technology in a compliant and flexible manner, with hands-on experience in Algo regulation, audit, and compliance (e.g., MiFID II & RTS6) β€’ Communicate effectively with traders, developers, and stakeholders to ensure business requirements are understood and met at all levels of delivery β€’ Analyze complex data sets and propose innovative solutions to enhance trading lifecycle processes, including order capture, execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements Qualifications β€’ Deep understanding of all major global futures exchanges β€’ Extensive knowledge of the full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycle β€’ Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management or Capital Markets / Investment Banks, bringing an external perspective to ensure cost: value competitiveness β€’ Familiarity with market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms β€’ Strong grasp of financial regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA guidelines β€’ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities β€’ Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with traders, developers, and stakeholders β€’ Team player with a proactive, self-motivated, and flexible attitude β€’ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment and meet demanding deadlines with changing priorities Required Skills: β€’ Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in a trading environment (preferably Front Office and/or Middle Office) β€’ In-depth understanding of Exchange Traded Derivatives and Commodity Trading (Oil and Gas) β€’ Experience with Third Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors (e.g., TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen) β€’ Proficiency in instrument static data and Market Data systems & protocols, across both Windows and Linux operating systems β€’ Solid experience in FIX Engineering and application support/vendor management β€’ Strong technical skills in scripting (Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL) and debugging network protocols (TCP, multicast) β€’ Demonstrated ability in exchange certification, application deployment, and support β€’ Experience analyzing and implementing regulatory initiatives (e.g., MiFID II, MAD/MAR) Powered by JazzHR RRvuYSTdUq
