POSITION: PySpark Big Data Engineer
PAY RANGE: $66.65 per hour
LOCATION: Phoenix, Arizona 85054 (Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week)
DURATION: 7-Month-Contract (Plus Extensions)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
β’ 6+ years of hands-on experience with PySpark and MapR.
β’ Strong programming skills in Python.
β’ Proficiency in SQL and data modeling; Oracle experience is a plus.
β’ Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
SUMMARY:
A Fortune 500 client in the Financial Services/FinTech sector is seeking a Big Data Engineer with an expertise in PySpark, Python, and MapR. Youβll join a collaborative team supporting the modernization of legacy applications to a cloud-hosted platform. This role will initially focus on migrating mainframe reports and rebuilding them in modern reporting tools like Tableau or Excel.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Support the migration of legacy mainframe reports to a modern cloud-based environment.
β’ Recreate and optimize reports using Tableau or Excel.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize data pipelines and reporting infrastructure.
β’ Leverage Big Data technologies to ensure scalable and efficient data processing.
Compensation:
$66.65/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
