Role description
We're looking for a hands-on AWS Python Lead with deep expertise in AWS Serverless technologies and scalable cloud-native architectures. Ideal candidates will have strong experience designing, building, and deploying serverless backend systems using: AWS Lambda (Node.js / Python) Amazon DynamoDB Proficiency in single-table design, use of GSIs, and DynamoDB Streams Amazon EventBridge for event-driven microservices AWS Step Functions for workflow orchestration Amazon API Gateway and AWS AppSync (GraphQL) for APIs πŸ’» Programming Skills Proficient in Node.js and Python Strong ability to write modular, clean, and testable serverless functions Experience with writing unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest or PyTest πŸ“‘ Messaging & Streaming Systems Solid understanding of Apache Kafka architecture and internals: Event publishing/subscription patterns Partitioning, retention, and offset management Experience integrating Kafka with on-premise or cloud-native connectors πŸ— Infrastructure as Code & Monitoring Hands-on experience with deployment frameworks like: AWS CDK, Serverless Framework, or Terraform Expertise in monitoring and observability using: Amazon CloudWatch, X-Ray, Log Insights, custom metrics Skilled at creating dashboards, alerts, and structured logs πŸ” Authentication & Authorization Familiar with identity and access controls using: Amazon Cognito, IAM roles/policies, and Lambda Authorizers Comfortable with integration of OAuth2, JWT, and SAML-based authentication πŸ’‘ Nice-to-Have Skills 🌐 Frontend / UI Collaboration Exposure to React.js or Angular Ability to collaborate with frontend teams or mentor full-stack developers Understanding of API-to-UI integration and performance tuning πŸ“Š Data Engineering & Analytics Familiarity with Amazon Redshift is a plus: Experience with query optimization and performance tuning Exposure to data ingestion pipelines from S3 or Kafka to Redshift πŸ€– AI-Powered Developer Tooling Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity: Test generation, code reviews, and CI/CD automation using tools like: Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo
