Summary:
In this role, a successful candidate will be working on developing data-centric tools that scale well for internal usage. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong understanding of software fundamentals, a background working with systems, excellent communication skills, and a desire to work with cross-functional teams to develop ground-breaking products. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge data-centric software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain scalable data-centric tools and pipelines for processing and visualizing large datasets.
β’ Build and optimize Python-based data pipelines to support debugging and analysis efforts.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical and architectural challenges.
β’ Maintain and improve backend services on platforms like Kubernetes, utilizing cloud providers such as AWS/Google Cloud.
β’ Optionally contribute to UI development, though it's not a strict requirement.
Skills Required:
β’ Excellent Python programming for data collection
β’ Must be proficient in algorithms and data structures
β’ Knowledge with cloud storage, databases (Postgres, Snowflake), and data processing workflows
β’ Ability to build data pipelines and create visualizations to support debugging and analysis
β’ Experience with automated data collection scripts
β’ Excellent programming skills in SQL (both relational and NoSQL databases), Python, pandas, NumPy, Jupyter notebook, etc.
Additional Skills:
β’ Strong sense of ownership, with a desire to communicate and collaborate with other engineers and teams
β’ Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
β’ Experience building scalable backend services on platforms like Kubernetes using cloud providers like AWS/Google Cloud
β’ Experience building web frontend and backend API using Django/React/JavaScript is a great plus
β’ Experience/Exposure to ML/AI/data analytics skills is a great plus
β’ Working knowledge of CI/CD skills is a great plus
β’ Ability to independently learn new technologies
Educational Qualification:
β’ Bachelorβs or masterβs degree in computer science or a related field.
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid; Tues-Thurs onsite)
Duration: 12+ months
Pay: $70/h - $80/h (DOE)
