Job Title: Python Developer Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid/On-site) Job Type: Contract 12+ Months Experience Level: Mid to Senior Level About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our growing team in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for building robust, scalable backend services and data-driven applications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence architecture decisions, and help drive innovation through high-quality code and best practices. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services. • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best software development practices. • Work closely with DevOps, data engineers, and front-end teams to deliver seamless, integrated solutions. • Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvement. • Troubleshoot and debug production issues as needed. • Document code, APIs, and system design decisions. Required Qualifications: • 3–7 years of professional experience with Python (Flask, Django, or FastAPI). • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development. • Experience with SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). • Proficiency with version control tools (e.g., Git). • Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments. • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest). Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Experience working with data processing or machine learning pipelines is a plus.
