The ideal candidate must be proficient in building Python applications using Python in the cloud and have some experience in the Linux environment. Candidates must have a proven history of building and supporting responsive web applications and processes on AWS. Candidates must be comfortable working in an agile development environment. The chosen candidate will work closely with IT management and staff to identify application development solutions. Responsibilities Include: - Analyze business requirements then design and code web applications, APIs and Microservices using Python on AWS. - Understand and follow the complete software development life cycle methodology - Participation in Agile Scrum Methodologies; reviewing stories, creating tasks, product grooming, estimating work, stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, etc. - Develop and execute test scenarios to ensure the stability and performance of applications utilizing unit test framework - Build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers - Maintain a well-controlled and resilient technology environment, including the identification and management of IT risks in coordination with company policies and IT governance standards "W2 Contract Only " Required & Desired Skills: - 7+ years of experience in software engineering - 2+ years of experience in Python - Some experience with UI Development - Experience in Containerization (Docker) - Experience with cloud technologies (AWS) - Experience in building Microservices - Experience with Agile Software Lifecycle - Experience using PostgreSQL - Expert in Object-Oriented Design - B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
