Role description
As a Python Developer, you will develop and maintain automation tools, backend services, and applications that support large telecom network operations. You will build APIs, automation scripts, and data-based solutions used for testing, monitoring, and improving network operations across 5G and enterprise platforms. You will work closely with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams to improve automation and deliver reliable solutions.
Your Responsibilities
β’ Develop and maintain Python automation scripts and frameworks for network testing and operational tasks.
β’ Build REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI for internal tools and system integration.
β’ Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to manage test data, configurations, and results.
β’ Create and manage Docker containers for application deployment and testing.
β’ Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab.
β’ Write Linux Bash scripts and support application deployments on Linux servers.
β’ Connect with telecom network systems and APIs for automated testing, validation, and monitoring.
β’ Implement logging, error handling, and monitoring to keep automation solutions reliable.
β’ Work with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams to identify areas for automation.
β’ Troubleshoot issues and improve the performance and reliability of automation solutions.
Your Profile β Essential Skills
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
β’ 4+ years of Python development experience, preferably in automation or backend development.
β’ Strong experience developing REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
β’ Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Jinja2 for simple web interfaces.
β’ Good knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB/Redis.
β’ Good understanding of Linux, Bash scripting, cron jobs, and server management.
β’ Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
β’ Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Git.
β’ Experience with Python libraries such as requests, paramiko, subprocess, schedule, and pandas.
β’ Good understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, and API integration.
Desirable Skills
β’ Experience in telecom or network automation, particularly 4G, 5G, or service-based architecture.
β’ Knowledge of RabbitMQ or Kafka and event-driven systems.
β’ Experience with OpenStack and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
β’ Experience with Pytest, Selenium, or Playwright for test automation.
β’ Knowledge of Grafana, ELK, or Prometheus for monitoring.
β’ Understanding of Agile/Scrum ways of working.
