The position is focused on python development of components for a software application platform that produces enterprise level reporting based on financial statements and models. The candidate will develop and support the middle layer of the application to build, test, and deploy RESTful APIs based services, create shared services components, and collaborate with other IT groups, Dev Ops, and User Interface teams.
Responsibilities include:
β’ Senior engineer capable of designing solutions, writing code, testing code, automating test and deployment.
β’ Develop and maintain high-quality software code and automated tests (including Unit, Functional, Performance, Acceptance) for web interface application that integrates data, analytics, and reporting components.
β’ Predictable results: changes in code can be proven to be correct and bug-free.
β’ Production resilience: system must be highly available with minimal downtime.
β’ High performance: develop scalable calculations to maintain performance over large data sets.
β’ Ready, willing, and able to pick up new technologies and pitch in on story tasks (design, code, test, CI/CD, deploy, etc.).
Technical Skills:
β’ Experience writing Python code and RESTful web services using framework such as Flask, FastAPI etc. in a professional environment.
β’ Back End Skills: Python, Django/Flask/FastAPI, NumPy, pandas and Relational Database
β’ Automation Testing: Pytest, Unittest, Monkey patch, pytest-Mockito etc.
β’ Build CI/CD Tools: Gradle, Jenkins, git, Conda, pip, Jira, Gitlab, Confluence
β’ DevOps: Linux & Docker
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree, ideally in Computer Science, Financial Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
β’ Financial Industry Experience highly preferred
