Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with hands-on experience in Kubernetes and MongoDB for an onsite contract position in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development and a passion for building scalable, secure microservices in a cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities:
• Support development of new features and maintain existing backend services for team security projects.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Python.
• Integrate and optimize MongoDB databases using pymongo.
• Implement and maintain automated tests including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across the development lifecycle.
Must-Have Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Python.
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience working with MongoDB, including proficiency with the pymongo library.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks and test development (unit, integration, e2e).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices.
• Experience working in Kubernetes environments is preferred.
