We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer/Data Engineer with expertise in AWS Glue, Python, and modern data pipeline development. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in the IT field, with hands-on work in building scalable data infrastructure and APIs. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in clinical or imaging data environments.
Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue, Python, and AWS services.
β’ Develop and deploy APIs to access and manage data stored in data lakes.
β’ Use AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) to deploy infrastructure as code.
β’ Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and related tools.
β’ Ensure high performance, availability, and scalability of data platforms.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers.
β’ Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and optimize data workflows.
β’ Document data flows, pipeline structures, and deployment procedures.
Required Skills
β’ Minimum 12 years of experience in the IT field, with at least several years in data engineering.
β’ Strong experience with AWS Glue and Python for ETL and data processing.
β’ Proficiency in building and deploying RESTful APIs to interface with data lake APIs.
β’ Hands-on experience with AWS CDK for infrastructure deployment.
β’ Knowledge of AWS CodePipeline for continuous integration and deployment.
β’ Solid understanding of cloud-based data architectures and data lake concepts.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.
