Sr. Backend Python Developer - preferably with genAI - will do without too Duration - 6+ months - on-going - multi-year contract Location - NYC - 2-3 days hybrid Day-to-Day We are seeking a hands-on Back End Developer (10+ years) with strong expertise in Python to design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with Python-based projects, and you will be working on AI-related initiatives within a collaborative team. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement new features and ensure seamless integration of both front-end and back-end components. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 1. Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating Python-based projects, particularly in web development. 1. Proficiency in Python and experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, including Pydantic, SQLAlchemy/SQL Model. 1. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and experience in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments. 1. Experience building RESTful APIs using Python. 1. Strong understanding of SQL databases, with proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries and optimizing database interactions. 1. Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Key Vault (or similar AWS services). 1. Experience in DevOps pipelines, including build, release, and CI/CD processes on platforms like Azure DevOps or similar. 1. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps). 1. Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
