Python Developer

Job details: Job title: Software Developer Location: Groton, CT (Onsite) Duration: 6+ Months with the possibility to extend Pay Rate: $55/hr on W2 Responsibilities Motivated software developer to support the development of internal tools and platforms in a pharmaceutical R&D setting. This role is focused on supporting existing Python/Jupyter notebook solutions and building new tools to support chemists and engineers throughout the drug development process by leveraging Python and various cheminformatics packages. Work alongside the lead developer of the internal application framework, as well as various scientists, to support the computational workflows. Responsibilities: • Create new applications using our established Jupyter framework for web applications • Maintain existing applications with any bug fixes and/or updates as needed • Create new widgets to further enhance our capabilities • Integrate and visualize experimental data when applicable into the applications • Implement and maintain Python-based pipelines for data acquisition and workflow automation • Collaborate with scientific stakeholders to refine requirements and iterate on prototypes • Work with APIs, databases, and internal data pipelines • Document code and workflows following internal best practices and quality standards
