Role/Job title: Python/PySpark, Scala Developer Work Location: Glasgow Role type/Duration: 6 Months contract Mode of working: Onsite (5 days) Day rate: GBP 450 /day (Inside IR35) The Role: As a Python Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in an agile team, focusing on the enhancement, construction, and delivery of top‑tier technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Key responsibilities: • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience • Advanced in Python & PySpark or Scala • Experience in API development and exposure to Python Application development • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security • Practical cloud native experience and knowledge on Kubernetes. Your Profile: Key skills/knowledge/experience: • Familiar with any Cloud environment and knowledge of Kubernetes • Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow • Familiarity with engineering in a regulatory-controlled environment • Managing expectations of non-technical stakeholders. Good to have: • Familiar with AWS via hands-on experience or certification • Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow • Familiarity with the Basel regulatory reporting framework • Familiarity with engineering in a regulatory-controlled environment
