Work Location: Glasgow
Role type/Duration: 6 Months contract
Mode of working: Onsite (5 days)
Day rate: GBP 450 /day (Inside IR35)
The Role:
As a Python Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in an agile team, focusing on the enhancement, construction, and delivery of topβtier technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
Key responsibilities:
β’ Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience
β’ Advanced in Python & PySpark or Scala
β’ Experience in API development and exposure to Python Application development
β’ Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
β’ Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
β’ Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
β’ Practical cloud native experience and knowledge on Kubernetes.
Your Profile:
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
β’ Familiar with any Cloud environment and knowledge of Kubernetes
β’ Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow
β’ Familiarity with engineering in a regulatory-controlled environment
β’ Managing expectations of non-technical stakeholders.
Good to have:
β’ Familiar with AWS via hands-on experience or certification
β’ Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow
β’ Familiarity with the Basel regulatory reporting framework
β’ Familiarity with engineering in a regulatory-controlled environment
