Job Title: Senior Python/React Engineer Location: FULLY REMOTE (BUT NEED LOCAL FROM ILLINOIS) Job Description: ## Project Overview - Project: Insight Catalyst, under Warburg Pincusโ€™s portfolio analytics team - Main goal: Ingest and normalize accounting data from portfolio companies, centralize in a shared database, and provide analytics/readouts - Tech stack: Python, React, SQL (on Azure); some AI/data munging, but less AI than originally planned - need more full stack (Python/React/SQL) capability - Looking for a senior engineer, strong in Python, React, SQL (not necessarily a database architect) - Emphasis on: - Ability to handle ambiguity and communicate requirements - Not just โ€œticket takersโ€โ€”need proactive, communicative team members - Prefer someone who can contribute to both backend (Python/SQL) and frontend (React), but recognize itโ€™s rare to find someone equally strong in both - Familiarity with SQL syntax is sufficient - Team structure: Would report to Nick (relationship manager), Angela is tech lead; embedded in a small, senior team, working in a semi-scrum/sprint process ## Key Discussion Points - - Angela emphasized need for communicative, proactive engineers, not just coders - Frontend/backend split: estimated 30% frontend (React), 70% backend (Python/SQL), but React is a current bottleneck - No need for deep data engineering/database architecture, but solid Python and React are must-haves - Team is small, senior, and collaborative; direct interaction with executives (Raj, David, Kush) possible but not required for all team members - Angela described the current team and structure, confirmed the need for a strong, communicative full stack engineer
