Role description
Hi,
Hope you are doing well,
IMMEDIATE INTERVIEW :: Senior Python/React Engineer = FULLY REMOTE (BUT NEED LOCAL FROM ILLINOIS)- OPEN FOR W2 OR SELF CORP CANDIDATE ONLY
Please find the Job details below and kindly revert if youโre interested in learning more about this job.
Job Title: Senior Python/React Engineer
Location: FULLY REMOTE (BUT NEED LOCAL FROM ILLINOIS)
Job Description:
## Project Overview
- Project: Insight Catalyst, under Warburg Pincusโs portfolio analytics team
- Main goal: Ingest and normalize accounting data from portfolio companies, centralize in a shared database, and provide analytics/readouts
- Tech stack: Python, React, SQL (on Azure); some AI/data munging, but less AI than originally planned
- need more full stack (Python/React/SQL) capability
- Looking for a senior engineer, strong in Python, React, SQL (not necessarily a database architect)
- Emphasis on: - Ability to handle ambiguity and communicate requirements
- Not just โticket takersโโneed proactive, communicative team members
- Prefer someone who can contribute to both backend (Python/SQL) and frontend (React), but recognize itโs rare to find someone equally strong in both
- Familiarity with SQL syntax is sufficient
- Team structure: Would report to Nick (relationship manager), Angela is tech lead; embedded in a small, senior team, working in a semi-scrum/sprint process
## Key Discussion Points
- - Angela emphasized need for communicative, proactive engineers, not just coders
- Frontend/backend split: estimated 30% frontend (React), 70% backend (Python/SQL), but React is a current bottleneck
- No need for deep data engineering/database architecture, but solid Python and React are must-haves
- Team is small, senior, and collaborative; direct interaction with executives (Raj, David, Kush) possible but not required for all team members
- Angela described the current team and structure, confirmed the need for a strong, communicative full stack engineer
