Role description
Insight Global is hiring for a Python Developer for one our leading clients in the Technology space, that will focus on optimising performance and scaling a security controller platform, that supports millions of devices. You’ll be working on an existing codebase, implementing new features, fixing bugs, and largely contributing to backend improvements. The product is a complex, web-based application with multi-layered architecture -deployed at scale via AWS. Ongoing frontend projects include legal compliance and accessibility enhancements. You’ll also contribute to licensing logic and UI presentation, helping produce more product SKUs and variations. The environment demands a strong understanding and ability to handle large datasets and scale backend systems effectively.
Qualifications:
• 2–5 years’ experience in Python development experience
• Proven experience with Python and Django in large-scale applications
• Solid understanding of SQL databases (query interpretation and debugging)
• Experience scaling backend systems (e.g., handling 8M+ records)
• Familiarity with React and TypeScript (minimal frontend work required)
• Accessibility-aware development practices
