Job Title: Software Developer – Network Automation (Contractor) Location: Onsite (Englewood, CO) Start Date: September 1st, 2025 Contract Duration: Through end of 2025 Schedule: Standard business hours (no maintenance hours required) About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our Network Adaptor Layer team as a contractor. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, infrastructure-heavy environment and is eager to work on critical systems that support network provisioning and automation. You’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for building and maintaining software that interfaces with orchestration systems and network management layers. This is a hands-on development role with exposure to a wide range of technologies and infrastructure components. Key Responsibilities β€’ Develop and maintain software in Java (Spring Boot preferred) or Python. β€’ Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or GitLab. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network provisioning workflows. β€’ Contribute to the development of microservices and containerized applications. β€’ Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes. β€’ Support infrastructure integration with VMware, Kubernetes, and Docker. β€’ Work closely with software architects and infrastructure teams to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions. Required Qualifications β€’ 5+ years of experience in Python or Java development (Java preferred). β€’ Experience with GitHub or GitLab for source control and pipeline automation. β€’ Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization. β€’ Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles. β€’ Exposure to CI/CD practices and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest, JMeter, Java Unit Tests). β€’ Familiarity with networking concepts such as: β€’ IP addressing, TCP/UDP, DHCP, routing, switching. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience with Spring Boot (if Java is primary language). β€’ Experience with both Python and Java is a strong plus. β€’ Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. β€’ Experience with Ansible for automation is a plus. β€’ Exposure to virtualized environments like VMware. Interview Process β€’ Round 1: 1-hour behavioral and experience-based interview. β€’ Round 2: 1-hour technical interview with software architects using a web-based IDE to assess problem-solving and coding skills.
