Job Role : Python Backend Engineer Location : Seattle, WA(hybrid) Job Type :Contract Note: Python , AWS, Kubernetes , Kafka Splunk , DynamoDB About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Application Backend Developer (Staff Consultant) with deep expertise in backend coding, automation, and cloud-native services. This role focuses on building robust backend services to automate region failover, ensure high availability, and manage data synchronization across multiple AWS regions. You will work in a fast-paced environment that values technical excellence, innovation, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain backend automation services to support region failover and data synchronization across AWS regions. • Build cloud-native backend components and APIs leveraging Python, Kafka, Amazon EKS, and related technologies. • Implement automation for multi-region failover, system recovery, and performance monitoring. • Collaborate closely with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and reliability engineering teams to ensure smooth deployments and CI/CD automation. • Create and maintain scripts for backend operations, deployment automation, and testing. • Monitor and troubleshoot backend services using tools such as Splunk, Gatling, Tanzu Observability/WaveFront (VMware Aria). • Work on backend performance tuning, debugging, and scalability improvements. • Integrate with AWS services (EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, ARC) for backend automation and failover testing. • Contribute to backend infrastructure automation and recovery playbooks. Required Skills & Experience • 5–10 years of experience in backend development or backend automation. • Strong proficiency in Python (must be hands-on). • Proven experience with AWS services – EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB (minor usage). • Experience with Kafka, ArgoCD, Splunk, Gatling, and Tanzu Observability/WaveFront. • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, backend deployment automation, and region failover strategies. • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. • Understanding of multi-region systems, data synchronization, and application recovery controllers. • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
