Role description
Position: Python Developer Location: Charlotte, NC Pay: 65.07/hr Work Environment: β€’ Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Charlotte, NC; 2 days remote. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with deep expertise in Teradata and SQL to support data-driven initiatives for a major financial client within the Global Financial Crimes line of business supporting applications within Anti-Money Laundering. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and analytics solutions in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working onsite in Charlotte three days per week and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Develop and maintain robust Python applications for data processing and analytics. β€’ Write complex SQL queries and optimize performance within Teradata environments. β€’ Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions. β€’ Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources. β€’ Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all processes. β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and database performance. β€’ Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development. Required Qualifications: β€’ 5+ years of professional experience in Python development. β€’ Strong hands-on experience with Teradata and advanced SQL. β€’ Proven ability to work with large datasets and optimize query performance. β€’ Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is a plus. β€’ Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. β€’ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. β€’ Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: β€’ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). β€’ Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). β€’ Familiarity with other databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL). β€’ Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
