Work Environment:
β’ Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Charlotte, NC; 2 days remote.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with deep expertise in Teradata and SQL to support data-driven initiatives for a major financial client within the Global Financial Crimes line of business supporting applications within Anti-Money Laundering. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and analytics solutions in a fast-paced, enterprise-level environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working onsite in Charlotte three days per week and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and maintain robust Python applications for data processing and analytics.
β’ Write complex SQL queries and optimize performance within Teradata environments.
β’ Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
β’ Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources.
β’ Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all processes.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and database performance.
β’ Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Teradata and advanced SQL.
β’ Proven ability to work with large datasets and optimize query performance.
β’ Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
β’ Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
β’ Familiarity with other databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
β’ Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
