This organization develops predictive analytics and AI-driven solutions that help healthcare providers. What You’ll Do • Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data ingestion pipelines in a cloud-native environment (GCP preferred). • Collaborate closely with Machine Learning Engineers to debug, deploy, and optimize ML models for production. • Write clean, testable, and modular Python code to support new platform features and backend services. • Integrate with and optimize relational and non-relational databases for efficient data retrieval and processing. • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and back-end services that power internal and client-facing applications. • Ensure best practices for data security, governance, and compliance with healthcare data standards. • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. • Support occasional maintenance of legacy applications (primarily Java-based). What You’ll Bring • 4+ years of hands-on Python development experience, ideally in a data or backend-focused role. • Strong experience with data pipelines, ETL, and API development. • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure. • Familiarity with non-relational databases (e.g., Bigtable, MongoDB, Cassandra). • Working knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and exposure to CI/CD pipelines. • Understanding of data security standards (HIPAA or similar highly preferred). • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills. • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini) is a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Nice to Have • Experience with data warehouse design, data quality frameworks, and pipeline orchestration tools. • Familiarity with microservices, observability frameworks, and monitoring/logging tools. • Background in mathematics, statistics, or machine learning concepts. • Exposure to Java is a plus.
