Job Details Title: Python Developer Location: Boston, MA (Onsite – 4 days/week, Brighton office) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Pay Rate: Open, DOE Client Industry: Risk & Investments / Financial Services Skills Required: Python (Test-Driven Development), FAST API, Next.js / React (TypeScript/JavaScript), Aurora RDS, SQL, AWS (Lambda / REST APIs), Mendix (low-code platform), Understanding of Bonds / Loans / MBS, Market & Risk Data Job Description Risk & Investments Technology team is responsible for building and maintaining the firm’s strategic business systems supporting investment trading activity, pre- & post-trade functions, market & reference data, and risk reporting. The selected candidate will work onsite 4 days a week in the Boston (Brighton) office and lead business solutions in the Risk & Investments domain using Python (including FAST API), Next.js React, Mendix & SQL. Key Stakeholders & Functional Coverage: • Front Office: Trading desks & portfolio managers – pre-trade planning, compliance, trading workflows • Risk Team: Credit, Interest Rate, Liquidity risk & ALM functions • Middle Office: Security Master, Portfolio & Entity reference data, Corporate Actions, Trade Settlement • Back Office: Treasury Ops – Wire payments & cash flow processing Technology Stack: • Mendix (UI), Python distributed computing (Aurora & Redshift backend) • Modern SDLC, TDD, Git-based reviews, change control & compliance-first mindset Required Qualifications: • Strong Test-Driven Development in Python & Aurora RDS – MANDATORY • 1–2 yrs experience in Python, FAST API, Next.js / React (TypeScript/JavaScript), SQL • Basic AWS knowledge (ALB, Lambda, REST APIs) • Financial services experience preferred — Bonds, Loans, MBS • Fixed income pricing / Market Data knowledge is a plus • Bachelor’s degree required Interpersonal & Leadership Skills: • Strong stakeholder communication & global coordination skills • Ownership mindset, proactive execution, and deadline focus • Team-first attitude with strong analytical & problem-solving ability • Proficiency in MS Office & modern web-based tools Staffworxs is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
