Role description
Senior Python developer to join our clients Network Automation team. You will be comfortable with Django/Flask, Gitlab and have experience of container infrastructure. This is a three month rolling contract that will require you in the office, just outside London twice a week at rate of £500 a day (inside IR35). The role will involve contributing to the design and feature requirements, then developing the required changes within an existing network automation team. The development will be focussed around network automation so network skills will be helpful but not essential. Strong testing skills will be required as part of the development as well as maintaining a high standard for code readability and collaboration. Required skills and experience: • 3 years commercial experience with Python • Experience with Web frameworks such as Django and Flask • Experience of using and building RESTful APIs using Python • Experience with Front-end development (HTML, CSS, Javascript) • Experience with source control (GitLab) • Hands on experience and understanding of Docker and Kubernetes. • Knowledge of Microservice architectures is a plus • Ansible or Terraform knowledge is a plus • Understanding of network concepts (switch, router, firewall, load balancer etc) and network vendors is a plus (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper etc).
