Role description
Location: UK (Remote/Hybrid options likely)
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 4-6 Months (Initially)
Clearance: Must be UK Security Check (SC) ready or eligible.
We are urgently seeking an experienced Python Developer to play a pivotal role in integrating a sophisticated LLM solution into our core business platform, INTACT. This is not just a maintenance role; you will be central to building the connective tissue that brings an AI-powered workflow to life.
The Opportunity:
You will join a project where the infrastructure and automation foundations are being laid by an existing team. Your mission is to develop the critical integration logic and functional workflows that make the solution operational. You will be the key person ensuring the AI tool and our systems communicate seamlessly, processing data intelligently and delivering robust, production-ready results.
This is a hands-on role perfect for a developer who enjoys solving complex integration puzzles and writing clean, effective code that has a direct business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
• Develop Core Integration Logic: Write the Python code that enables our INTACT platform to connect, exchange information, and manage file transfers with an external AI tool.
• Design & Implement Business Workflows: Create the intelligent processes that determine if a case is new or a re-run, fetch the correct files, and guide the overall processing flow.
• Manage LLM Interaction: Build the components responsible for sending prompts to the LLM and seamlessly passing the processed results back into the business system.
• Engineer for Production: Write reliable, scalable, and well-documented code with robust error handling, logging, and monitoring from the outset.
• Champion Best Practices: Ensure the solution is maintainable, extensible, and reduces future dependency on individual developers.
• Support Testing & Validation: Assist in setting up testing frameworks to validate that workflows function correctly across all environments (Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, Prod).
What We're Looking For (The Essentials):
• Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong track record of building integration solutions.
• Excellent programming skills with a focus on writing clean, production-quality code.
• Experience with workflow automation and integrating disparate systems.
• A solid understanding of software engineering best practices: reliability, scalability, and error handling.
• The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) – this is non-negotiable.
Ideal Background (Bonus Points):
• Any prior exposure to LLM APIs, prompt management, or AI/ML integration projects.
• Experience in setting up or working within Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, and Prod environments.
• A mindset geared towards creating sustainable and future-proof solutions.
Why Join?
• Immediate Start: Dive into a live project from day one.
• High-Impact Role: Your work will be crucial to the successful deployment of an advanced AI solution.
• Cutting-Edge Technology: Work at the forefront of LLM application in a business context.
• Focused Engagement: A 4-6 month contract with a clear, defined mission.
