About the job
As a TOSCA Automation Software Engineer QA, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using the TOSCA tool. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our P&C insurance software solutions.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using TOSCA to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of P&C insurance software solutions.
• Implement and enhance test automation frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
• Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to enable continuous testing.
• Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Debug and resolve issues in automated test scripts to ensure test reliability and accuracy.
• Document test results and provide detailed reports on the quality and performance of the software.
• Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and project managers to develop comprehensive test plans and automation strategies.
• Define test objectives, scope, and priorities based on project requirements and business goals.
• Participate in defect triage meetings to discuss and prioritize defects.
• Develop and maintain regression test suites to validate the stability and reliability of software releases.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in test automation, software testing methodologies, and the P&C insurance domain.
Requirements Must Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience with the TOSCA automation tool.
• Strong proficiency in using TOSCA for test automation, including test case design, execution, and result analysis.
• Basic understanding of programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python for writing and maintaining automation scripts.
• Solid understanding of automation testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, HP ALM, or similar.
• Strong understanding of regression testing techniques and practices to ensure software changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen diligence.
• Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode.
• Experience in providing mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
Good to Have:
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, INS21/24, TOSCA or Agile certifications are desirable
