Qlik Sense Solution Architect London Hybrid Experience10+ Years Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Qlik Sense Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale Management Information (MI) and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting high-performance Qlik Sense dashboards, defining data models, and ensuring scalable, maintainable reporting solutions that support critical business functions. This role requires strong expertise in Qlik Sense architecture, data warehousing, enterprise reporting, and stakeholder management, preferably within a global banking or financial services environment. Your responsibilities: The individual will be an integral part of the build-out of business-critical systems. The ideal candidate will maintain a delivery-orientated approach to developing MI/BI dashboards and their supporting software & data infrastructure. • Working independently and as part of a team to design dashboards and lead the development, testing and deployment. • Building on and suggesting best practices • Ensure dashboards are well structured, maintainable, fully tested and delivered to time and budget • Initiation and implementation of productivity and quality initiatives • Support existing dashboards/reports. • Understanding of the MI/BI Dashboard function. • Designing data models to be implemented by the data platform team • Provide technical analysis of new requirements, creating and reviewing work requests for clarity of the requirement definition. • Suggesting new reporting technologies/methods to the team where they would satisfy requirements. • Engaging with HSBC Architects to ensure that solutions fit within the organisational architecture • Supporting Project Managers within the department. • Initiation and implementation of productivity and quality initiatives. • Ensuring compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars), internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behaviour. • Working with offshore development, analysis & test teams to ensure deliverables fulfil business requirements and quality levels. • Quality and maintainability of the IT solutions • Championing continual improvement within the team • Providing feedback on the development team as part of the annual review process Essential skills/knowledge/experience: Must Have Experience and Technical Skills • Proven record of designing and leading delivery for Qlik dashboards that contain large data volumes (100s of millions of records) • Experience designing Qlik-based reporting solutions that include bespoke mashup frontends (using enigma.js – not the Capability apis) and microservices to provide additional functionality • High-level of Qlik knowledge, to support developers working with complex solutions • Administrator experience with Qlik Sense in an enterprise organisation (QMC etc.). • Experience with using session apps in Qlik Sense • Experience designing data models for data warehouses and optimising reporting tools: developing dashboards which are user friendly, fast and easy to use. • Data warehousing (Kimball) • Comfortable using Git/GitHub. • Will have experience working with complex data structures, • Work in a high pressure environment delivering solutions for senior business people • Experience with all phases of the Reporting Life Cycle: ability to manage overall process from logging business requests through to their delivery into production - including specification, prioritisation, development, quality control • Experience and passion for test driven development • Experience of financial reporting and layout: i.e. reports to look and feel the same/logical format/internal consistency • Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency in development workflows • Experience working with offshore development, analysis & test teams • Experience of working concurrently on requirements for multiple business user groups. • Qlik certifications • Development of mashups for Qlik applications • Experience with Qlik Cloud • Experience with NPrinting. • Experience with Jenkins and Ansible software. • Experience with Jira and Confluence • Experience with Node.js • Experience working for a Global/Investment Banking business
