Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Test Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Newark, DE. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. As a key individual contributor to the Quality Assurance team, this role is responsible for performing SIT and End-to-end testing on various applications and technologies. The ideal candidate will work with project teams to ensure standard quality practices are followed within an Agile methodology, designing and executing test scripts to identify defects prior to production. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. Responsibilities: • Work with project teams to ensure standard quality practices and processes are followed • Perform SIT/End-to-end testing on applications and technology to ensure business, technical, and functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC • Design and execute test scripts based upon test strategy and plans to identify defects prior to production • May also include Production Certification, which requires manual/automated scripts to be executed to certify production health and/or identify post-production defects Requirements: • Minimum 8+ years of experience in QA testing • Knowledge and working experience with Agile testing methodology • Hands-on experience in Web Services testing including Soap UI/XML and REST/JSON • Experience with Frontend, ETL, and Database testing • Extensive working experience in writing and executing SQL queries • 2+ years of Selenium Automation experience • Experience with log or file validations and Unix commands • Technical Skills: Unix, SQL, Putty, Soap UI, WinSCP, App Watch, MQ, Splunk, JBoss, Autosys, TOAD, ALM, JIRA Desired skills: • API testing • Middleware MQ/Kafka testing Pay range: $50.42 - $58.42 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
