Crossing Hurdles is a recruitment firm connecting top professionals with leading AI research labs to help build and train advanced AI models. Position: Mathematics Expert (Problem Writing) Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $50–$70/hour Location: Remote Duration: Minimum 1–2 months with possible extension Commitment: Flexible, 20+ hours per week with potential to increase to 40 hours Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided) • Contribute subject matter expertise to develop difficult, high-quality mathematics problems informing AI training data. • Create challenging math problems across applied and pure mathematics domains. • Collaborate with AI researchers to close knowledge gaps and improve model reasoning abilities. • Ensure problems are well-structured, clear, and accurately reflect advanced mathematical concepts. • Provide written feedback and evaluation on math problem sets and solutions. Qualifications • Strong professional experience with a Master’s or PhD in Applied or Pure Mathematics from a top university. • High attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient in English and comfortable explaining complex mathematical ideas clearly.
