R Administrator β Contract Opportunity
Location: 2 days per week onsite in Hertfordshire (preferred) or London
Start date: ASAP
Day rate: Competitive DOE, inside IR35
Contract length: 6 months initially
We are looking for an experienced R Administrator with strong expertise in R package development, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps to join a forward-thinking, collaborative environment. This role is essential in supporting robust analytical operations and ensuring smooth development, deployment, and maintenance of R environments across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Build and maintain central repositories for R packages.
β’ Collaborate with development teams on package development and deployment.
β’ Configure and manage package sources, mirrors, and custom repositories.
β’ Ensure availability, documentation, and accessibility of R packages.
β’ Support internal package development and publication.
β’ Manage dependencies to ensure a stable analytical environment.
β’ Install and maintain R and Frozen R packages.
β’ Create scalable R compute environments using Docker.
