Role description
We are hiring Red Hat Openshift SME in Washington, DC area for one of our direct clients.
The Red Hat SME should have the following skills:
β’ Expert knowledge of RHEL, Red Hat technologies (e.g. Satellite, OpenShift, Ansible, Puppet, etc.), network configuration, troubleshooting, patching, and server configuration.
β’ Experience with supporting RHEL/7 environments to include OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
β’ Ability to assist customer to build-out the Red Hat lab environment
β’ Ability to validate OCP cluster environments
β’ Experience in supporting OCP migrations and updating migration plans to transition applications from existing OCP clusters onto new clusters.
β’ Experience with configuring Container Registries
β’ Assisting with troubleshooting and resolution of problems within OCP infrastructure
β’ Ability to create and maintain network diagrams and design documents
β’ Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
β’ Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
β’ Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Provide OpenShift Support
β’ Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, hardening and monitoring of physical & virtual RHEL servers.
β’ Review customer designs and documentation specific to Red Hat technologies, and providing recommendations for improvement based on Red Hat best practices
β’ Performing system diagnosis and troubleshooting of Red Hat technology related issues
β’ Coordinating Kernel/Patch Upgrades and helping with related strategies
β’ Assist customer to build-out the Red Hat lab environment to mirror the environment currently being utilized
β’ Work with customer to update existing processes and procedures to allow a more methodical implementation of the OCP
β’ Providing validation of the OCP cluster environment using steps provided in the OCP documentation
β’ Helping Customer define replication behavior for targeted workloads
β’ Refine and update migration plans to transition applications from existing OCP clusters onto new clusters
β’ Assist with configuring an appropriate Container Registry
β’ Assist with configuring OCP to utilize provided storage
β’ Providing recommendations to address Customerβs security requirements
β’ Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of problems within OCP infrastructure
β’ Support of current, and future-state architecture planning efforts associated with Red Hat products currently being leveraged.
