Job Title: Redwood RunMyJobs Developer Location: Will consider fully remote, but would need to relocate eventually if they want to convert FT (would be required in MI) Contract: 12 months, with potential to hire Department: Team consists of an operations lead, this person will be the backup to the operations lead Project currently underway which is the transitioning all redwood jobs on prem to redwood SaaS solution Project is targeted to go live in December, running slightly behind due to skill gap Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Redwood RunMyJobs Developer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise batch processing systems. This role will focus on scheduling, monitoring, and managing the execution of batch jobs to ensure reliable and efficient workload automation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, has strong troubleshooting skills, and brings hands-on experience with the Redwood RunMyJobs scheduling tool. Key Responsibilities: • Will be in an operational role • Stay within configurations and all the functionality by Runmyjobs • Administer, configure, and maintain the Redwood RunMyJobs platform. • Design and implement batch schedules aligned with business and technical requirements. • Monitor job execution status, resolve errors or delays, and ensure SLA compliance. • Analyze and optimize batch job performance for efficient resource utilization. • Define execution times, job priorities, triggers, calendars, and scheduling logic. • Document troubleshooting steps, scheduling policies, and lessons learned. • Collaborate with operations, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of batch processes with enterprise systems. • Maintain up-to-date system configurations, apply security patches, and perform regular updates. • Provide on-call support for critical batch failures or urgent incidents as needed. • Utilize scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate batch jobs and system monitoring. Skills: • 5+ years Run my jobs experience • someone who has the migrations experience (experience migrating jobs from on prem to Redwood) • scripting experience desirable - PowerShell, Bash, or Python
