Reference Data Technical Business Analyst - NYC Contract - Top Tier Hedge Fund

Join the Enterprise Data Engineering team and play a critical role in powering one of the world’s leading capital market firms with accurate, high-quality exchange data! You’ll source and onboard reference data from global Equities and Futures exchanges, partner with Data Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure seamless integration, and own the process from feed identification through production release. As a Technical Business Analyst, you’ll own the end-to-end onboarding of exchange reference data into the security master—identifying and analyzing sources, mapping data to the canonical model, and ensuring completeness and accuracy. You’ll act as a Subject Matter Expert on financial products and workflows, collaborating across Data Management, Engineering, and Operations to deliver high-quality solutions. With responsibility for data quality, reconciliation, and rigorous end-to-end testing, you’ll ensure every new feed is production-ready and seamlessly integrated. What you’ll need: 5+ years in financial services (reference/exchange data a must), strong SQL/Python, deep knowledge of equities and futures, and experience with security master systems and data governance. This is an onsite contract, so you must live in New York City or surrounding areas for this role. They'll need someone who's fully authorized to work in the US without any sponsorship / visa (cannot support H-1B visa).
