Role description
As a Senior Regulatory Data Automation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our financial data systems meet evolving regulatory standards. You’ll work at the intersection of data analytics, compliance, and automation—translating complex regulatory requirements into scalable data solutions. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of financial regulations who thrives in high-stakes, cross-functional environments.
Hybrid to downtown Chicago (3 days a week onsite)
Responsibilities
• Analyze financial datasets to support regulatory reporting and ensure data completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Automate data workflows and reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Translate regulatory language into actionable technical specifications for data collection, transformation, and reporting.
• Design and implement data validation and cleansing protocols to ensure high-quality regulatory submissions.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Collaborate with compliance, engineering, and external regulatory stakeholders to align data practices with regulatory expectations.
• Monitor changes in global regulatory frameworks and adapt data processes accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in financial services, with exposure to regulatory environments.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and their impact on data management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain regulatory concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with data privacy and security standards.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience interacting directly with regulators and preparing regulatory submissions.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data management platforms and automation tools.
• Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and cross-border data reporting requirements.
Rate: $50-80/HR
