Reinsurance Business Data Analyst/Data Migration Specialist Location: New York (Hybrid/Remote) Our client is in search of a seasoned Reinsurance Business Data Analyst with a robust background in Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance IT and Data Migration. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial and statistical systems within heterogeneous environments and will be tasked with facilitating the efficient transfer and analysis of business data. Key Responsibilities: • Execute hands-on data migration and business data analysis, ensuring the integration of diverse financial and statistical systems. • Develop and implement strategic data mapping and cataloging to enhance business intelligence and reporting capabilities, maintaining high data standards and consistency across all initiatives. • Collaborate with various departments, including IT, Business Intelligence, Claims Operations, Reinsurance Services, and Quality Review, to document and uphold best practices in data transformation. • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and address data quality issues and challenges during data migration and process implementation, escalating as necessary and minimizing redundancy through vigilant project oversight to ensure timely delivery. • Support management in the adoption of process enhancements to streamline workflow, enhance the transmission of regulatory reports, and improve overall operational efficiency, effectiveness, and internal controls. • Anticipate and understand the broader impact of changes in project scope or requirements. • Effectively communicate technical activities and objectives to diverse audiences and stakeholders. • Design and develop comprehensive business process requirements and workflow procedures, as needed. • Facilitate coordination and provide support to project teams during the implementation of new processes or procedures. • Monitor project timelines, track activities, and resolve problems to ensure project success. • Serve as a subject matter expert from project development through to implementation, including future changes or enhancements. Requirements: • In-depth knowledge of the Insurance and Reinsurance domain, products, and operational landscapes. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Proven experience in managing large-scale data migration projects. • Familiarity with operations and claims systems, applications, and software. • Proficient in requirements elicitation and documentation. • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA; Power Query proficiency is highly desirable. • Knowledge of ETL processes and Data Warehouse methodologies. • Experience in collaborating with teams to analyze, define, and develop business requirements and workflow processes, including IT-related needs. • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and writing skills. • Strong presentation capabilities. • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel, SQL/database tool skills. • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of independently analyzing complex business processes. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities, while maintaining a collaborative and team-oriented approach. • Please note that this job description is not exhaustive.
