Role description
Title: Release Analyst Organization: Information Technology Position: Contract- Hire LOCATION, New York, NY JOB DESCRIPTION The Analyst is responsible to the Release Management Manager for designing and developing proprietary software, as well as customizable vendor software required to maintain the continuous flow of technology at client. This position will ensure the quality and integrity of the technology infrastructure, monitor the processes and procedures, and create new automation under the guidance of the RM Manager Responsibilities: β€’ Work closely with internal and external teams to understand business and functional requirements to develop automation, requirements and deliverables to Development, QA and Production environments β€’ Supports the RM Manager by participating in meetings and helping organize work and/or training sessions around new products being introduced into technology lifecycle β€’ Works on problems of moderate to advanced scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors and a wide command of various technologies and integrated components β€’ Analyzes and assesses user, functional and technical requirements β€’ Support multiple internal tools on an administrative level to our user community β€’ Develop new solutions for automation that operate within our web based solution methodology β€’ Work independently on projects assigned. β€’ Interact within a team structure and often on ad hoc basis and multiple activities. β€’ A high level of transparency, communication and flexibility is required β€’ Perform other duties or special projects as assigned - some travel may be required Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field or equivalent technical or trade business professional work experience required β€’ Minimum one of experience in technology β€’ Must have proficient knowledge of: Unix/Linux, Windows, Php, Asp, Javascript, CSS, Html, SQL, relational data design theory, Ajax methodology, data structures, ksh scripting β€’ Requires strong problem solving and entrepreneurial skills to drive solutions to completion β€’ Must have an understanding of database schemas and must be proficient in SQL and web development. β€’ Demonstrates working knowledge of software version control and release management required β€’ Demonstrates experience in leading projects with a timeframe of at least one month β€’ Requires theoretical and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability in planning and operations in complicated projects with dozens of dependent variables β€’ The incumbent must be detail oriented and demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills. β€’ Ability to work independently within a team environment
