Role description

Location: MO-Maryland Heights, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite
Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Release Manager, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Manage one or more highly complex, enterprise-wide IT programs consisting of multiple interdependent projects
• Align release and project delivery with organizational strategy, business goals, and operational priorities
• Plan, implement, and monitor release schedules from initiation through deployment and post-release activities
• Maintain and govern deployment calendars, proactively resolving conflicts and dependencies
• Coordinate projects and their interdependencies to ensure cohesive and predictable delivery
• Establish and enforce governance controls to ensure compliance with release, approval, and deployment processes
• Define, track, and report release roadmaps, progress, risks, issues, and success metrics
• Identify, assess, and monitor risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed
• Manage and optimize resources across multiple projects and releases
• Build, manage, and monitor budgets while continuously seeking opportunities to improve cost and schedule performance
• Facilitate clear and consistent communication across project teams, stakeholders, and leadership
• Track performance metrics and present insights visually using tools such as PowerPoint, Tableau, or similar platforms
• Maintain awareness of business trends, operational conditions, and internal processes that may impact releases or programs
• Drive stakeholder engagement and satisfaction through transparency and effective coordination
Qualifications
• 2–5 years of experience in release management, program management, or a related IT delivery role
• Strong understanding of deployment, release, and approval processes in an enterprise environment
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and coordinating cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience tracking metrics and presenting data visually to leadership
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate conflict
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks, manage dependencies, and drive issues to resolution
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in large-scale or enterprise IT environments
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies
• Experience with reporting or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerPoint, or similar)
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $130,000 or the hourly equivalent.
