Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote Data Architect in Tampa, FL. Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead and shape their GenAI Insights team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable data solutions across Azure and modern data platforms. The Data Architect will oversee a team of Data Engineers, ensure best practices in data quality and governance, and drive insights delivery through advanced analytics and visualization tools. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: β€’ Lead and mentor Data Engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement β€’ Define and own the overall data architecture vision, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices β€’ Partner with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into scalable data solutions Data Architecture & Engineering: β€’ Design, build, and manage modern data platforms leveraging Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Server, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and NoSQL databases β€’ Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources β€’ Establish and implement data quality engineering practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability across data assets β€’ Drive adoption of data governance and security frameworks to protect and manage enterprise data Analytics & Insights: β€’ Enable data-driven decision making by designing solutions that deliver timely, trusted, and actionable insights β€’ Collaborate with business intelligence teams to build Power BI dashboards and executive-level reporting β€’ Partner with executive leadership to present insights in a clear, compelling, and strategic manner Requirements β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related discipline β€’ 5+ years of overall professional experience in data engineering, architecture, or analytics roles β€’ Relevant data engineering certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate) β€’ Proven experience leading and managing Data Engineering teams in enterprise environments β€’ Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Cassandra, or equivalent) β€’ Strong expertise with SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric β€’ Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, data storage, security, and governance β€’ Knowledge of advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI-based solutions β€’ Understanding of Generative AI tooling and the ability to integrate AI into generating insights for the data β€’ Demonstrated skills in data quality engineering, including profiling, validation, and monitoring of enterprise data β€’ Demonstrated success in building data pipelines to integrate and transform data from multiple sources β€’ Proficiency in developing and deploying Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
