Role description
REMOTE ROLE PAY: $95-$124/hr REQUIRED: β€’ PhD in Economics, Health Services, Health Economics, or related field and 3+ years of expereince in a Director role for HEOR. β€’ Must have the ability to independently evaluate / analyze data - know strengths of data - can this data be used in decision making - provide strategic insights to look at data differently β€’ Must have the ability to work cross functional and build interpersonal relationship - must be able to lead and influence β€’ Must be able to bring RWD data insights to the table to influence strategic decisions β€’ Must have very broad knowledge of RWD ecosystem - RWD analytics and strategy β€’ Type of data mainly will be related to EHR data and Claims data β€’ Must have SAS or R experience (SQL / Python is a good substitute) β€’ IHT Integrated Health Technology (IHT) Assessment β€’ Must be able to evaluates new or existing health technologies (e.g., drugs, devices, diagnostics, digital tools) for their clinical effectiveness, safety, cost-effectiveness, and real-world value. β€’ Ability to make assessments to help decision-makers (payers, HTA agencies, hospital systems) understand the economic impact, patient outcomes, and long-term value of adopting or reimbursing a health intervention. Job Description: This group ensures cross functional areas have the correct real-world data (outside of clinical trials) in support of assets (development, pipeline, and on-market drugs). On a daily basis will be making the assessment β€œdoes the data suffice to answer the research question” Must have the ability to independently evaluate / analyze data - know strengths of data - can this data be used in decision making - provide strategic insights to look at data differently Must have the ability to work cross functional and build interpersonal relationship - must be able to lead and influence Global Real-World Data (RWD) Strategy & Sourcing The Director, Global RWD Strategy & Souring (Director), will be a critical part of the RWE Center of Expertise (RWE CoE) Data Strategy & Partnership team within Value and Evidence (V&E) under the broader Medical Affairs + Health Impact (MHI) organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to engage across MHI pillars including, but not limited to, V&E, Medical Engagement, and International Medical Affairs to identify and fill RWD gaps that are critical to delivering the value propositions of Client's assets. To optimize data efficiency within MHI and Client more broadly, this role will also coordinate data access and spend optimization activities across MHI while collaborating with Global Epidemiology, Data and Statistical Sciences and other Research and Development (R&D) and Commercial cross-functional teams. This role includes maintaining expert awareness of industry trends for RWD, Big Data, new research platforms and capabilities that may facilitate innovative research and analytics opportunities for the RWE CoE. Job Responsibilities: β€’ Evaluate comprehensiveness, representativeness, and fitness-for-purpose of RWD through feasibility assessments and pilot studies. β€’ Maintain knowledge of industry-leading RWD and capabilities, Big Data innovations, and analytics methodologies with practical use cases across all TAs. β€’ Contribute to the RWE CoE data strategy function by identifying innovative data sources in connection to enterprise data initiatives. β€’ Engage with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors in sourcing of RWD. β€’ Contribute to continuous improvement of the RWE CoE functional initiatives and change management by modeling desired behaviors to promote a culture of curiosity, innovation, and industry thought-leadership.
