We are seeking a talented Full-Stack JavaScript/TypeScript Developer Contractor to help us create a flexible boilerplate/starter template and architect a scalable multi-site workflow for our client's project. This role involves building component-driven frontends, integrating Builder.io for visual editing, and connecting with Strapi CMS for structured content management, all within a scalable deployment environment. Requirements Requirements β€’ U.S.-based individuals must legally provide independent contractor services through their own LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp. (For U.S. applicants only) β€’ 4+ years of hands-on software development experience. β€’ Professional English: Written and Verbal Communication β€’ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field β€’ Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset β€’ Strong full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript experience. β€’ Ability to balance frontend (80%) and backend (20%) responsibilities β€’ Proven experience with: β€’ Astro (or a comparable JavaScript web framework) β€’ Builder.io integration and visual development workflows β€’ Strapi CMS (or related headless CMS platforms) β€’ Tailwind CSS and ShadCN UI β€’ GitHub and deployment workflows (e.g., Netlify, Vercel, or similar) Responsibilities β€’ Boilerplate & Components β€’ Build a flexible, component-driven Astro boilerplate with a default file/page structure β€’ Integrate Builder.io for page and section editing within the visual editor β€’ Create reusable layout and functionality components using Tailwind CSS and ShadCN UI β€’ Register and expose components for Builder's visual environment β€’ Configure dynamic routing and preview URLs for Builder-managed content β€’ Integrate Strapi CMS backend with API calls for content delivery β€’ Scalable Workflow & Architecture β€’ Help design a GitHub repository strategy for managing 100s of sites at scale β€’ Architect hosting, deployment workflows, and staging/production environments β€’ Ensure flexibility, maintainability, and performance optimizations are baked into the template Nice to Have β€’ Experience migrating from WordPress/Elementor β€’ SEO and performance optimization expertise The projected salary range for this position is from $47 to $55/hr, determined by the candidate's interview outcome, skills, experience, education, and alignment with market data.
