Role description

   • Must be able to work W2

   • FULLY REMOTE and LONG TERM CONTRACT

   • 5+ years of experience with PowerBI

   • Max 30 hour work week

Must Haves:

   • 4–6+ years of experience in Power BI development, with hands-on expertise in Power BI Desktop, Service, semantic modeling, and performance optimization.

   • Proven experience managing enterprise-scale models (5GB+), integrating 15+ data sources, and building for user bases exceeding 50,000.

   • Strong command of DAX, Power Query (M), and star schema data modeling techniques.

   • Advanced use of Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, and other modeling tools.

   • Experience setting up row-level security (RLS) in large-scale reporting environments.

   • Development of custom database partitions and tailored refresh processes by data source.

   • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric components and features (e.g., Lakehouse, Notebooks, Pipelines).

   • Familiarity with pbip project structure and GitHub or other source control integration for Power BI.

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Power BI Architect to join one of our largest client's Customer Insight and Action team. This role is pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights through the creation of dynamic and impactful dashboards. This role will only be 30 hours a week. Job Description: Position Overview: The Power BI Architect will act as a consultant and Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Customer Insight and Action organization. This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of dashboard development, from data discovery and design/mock-ups to build and adoption. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Power BI and other relevant tools, and will be adept at guiding the team through each stage of dashboard creation. Key Responsibilities: Consulting and SME Role: Provide expert guidance and consultation on dashboard development and data visualization strategies. Designing and Developing Data Models Design and Mock-ups: Create detailed design mock-ups and prototypes for dashboards. Dashboard Development: Build and implement dashboards using Power BI, ensuring they meet business requirements and user needs. Ensuring Scalability and Performance Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of dashboards. Tool Expertise: Utilize Power BI, Microsoft tools, Webex Teams, and Asana to manage and execute projects effectively.
