Role description
Role: Oracle Report Writer
Client: Large Healthcare System
Type: Contract
Duration: 15 months
Location: Remote with up to 50% travel required
Summary: Looking to identify individuals with a strong competency in Oracle Report Writing who will play a critical role in supporting the successful implementation through the development of customized reports for the Oracle Cloud applications. This individual will work closely with functional analysts, and business stakeholders to design and develop robust reporting solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
β’ Report Development & Customization:
β’ Design and develop reports using tools like Oracle BI Publisher, OTBI, and Oracle Analytics Publisher.
β’ Create custom reports and dashboards to support various business units, including finance, supply chain, and HR.
β’ Collaborate with functional analysts and business stakeholders to gather report requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
β’ Stakeholder Engagement:
β’ Work closely with business users, including executives and department leaders, to understand their reporting requirements.
β’ Provide training and documentation to end users on the use of newly delivered reports.
β’ Act as a key resource during user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring all delivered reports meet business requirements.
β’ Data Analysis & Compliance:
β’ Ensure data quality and consistency in reports, implementing proper validation and reconciliation processes.
β’ Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory standards (HIPAA, PHI) in all reporting and data-handling activities.
β’ Perform ad-hoc queries and data extraction using SQL as needed to support business needs.
Qualifications:
β’ Experience:
β’ 5+ years of experience in Oracle report development, including Oracle BI Publisher, OTBI, and/or Oracle Analytics Publisher.
β’ Hands-on experience with the Oracle ERP Cloud ERP system, preferably in a healthcare environment.
β’ Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills for data extraction and report generation.
β’ Experience with ERP transformation projects or large-scale system implementations.
β’ Familiarity with healthcare data, systems, and compliance requirements (HIPAA, PHI) is preferred.
β’ Skills:
β’ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
β’ Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience working in a healthcare system or other highly regulated industries.
β’ Knowledge of financial, supply chain, and/or HR module data structures within Oracle ERP.
β’ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Education:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
β’ Relevant certifications in Oracle (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
