Role description
Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Reporting Analyst to support a leading enterprise in the energy industry. This is an onsite hybrid position located in Princeton, NJ. Only local candidates will be considered. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain application programs in a collaborative environment. • Develop and maintain reports using SQL queries, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio Code, Power BI, and SSRS. • Provide support and monitoring for systems supporting business clients, including after-hours support when necessary. • Gather and document system requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. • Develop new system functionality, including custom code and packaged application configuration. • Ensure smooth transition from development to operations, including creation of process control points, automated monitoring, and operational procedures. • Regularly report status and escalate issues or risks as appropriate. • Collaborate with team members and operational groups to prioritize work and remove roadblocks. • Interface with IT application owners to provide solutions and resolve conflicts. • Research, evaluate, and recommend options to ensure a robust and stable infrastructure. • Maintain technical documentation and remain up-to-date on relevant technologies and best practices. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing ETL solutions (SSIS preferred). • Minimum of 2 years experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle database environments. • Minimum of 2 years experience writing stored procedures, T-SQL/PL-SQL, functions, and SQL queries. • Experience with report writing best practices, including optimization and use of joins/sub-queries. • Experience with manual and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Proficiency with SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Visual Studio, or other reporting platforms. • Experience with application configuration, testing, maintenance, and support activities. • Knowledge of relational database concepts and ETL best practices. • Optional: experience with C#, VB.net, Python, automation tools like Control-M, and retail energy systems.
