Reporting Analyst

One of the country's leading financial technology companies is seeking a Reporting Analyst with expertise in Grafana dashboard design to join their team in San Diego, CA. This role will focus on developing dynamic, visually engaging dashboards that transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate will combine technical skill, analytical ability, and a strong sense of design to create tools that inform key business decisions and enhance data visibility across the organization. This opportunity to develop mission-critical data reporting dashboards at a world-renowned financial leader begins as a 5-month, W2 contract offering competitive benefits, paid holidays, a hybrid schedule, and the strong potential to extend or convert to permanent employment. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Grafana dashboards to track KPIs and system performance. • Integrate and query multiple data sources, including SQL/NoSQL databases, Prometheus, InfluxDB, and APIs. • Apply UI/UX best practices to ensure dashboards are intuitive, logically structured, and visually cohesive. • Create effective data visualizations using graphs, charts, and tables for executive and operational audiences. • Prioritize competing tasks, manage multiple dashboard projects, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders. • Collaborate and communicate effectively with senior leadership to align dashboards with business needs. Required Skills & Experience: • 3–5 years of experience designing and implementing dashboards, preferably in Grafana. • Strong proficiency with SQL or other query languages. • Demonstrated understanding of data visualization principles and UI/UX design. • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Experience working in dynamic, matrixed environments with cross-functional teams. • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manipulate and present data in impactful ways. • Self-starter comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity.
