Reporting Consultant

I’m currently hiring for an exciting Reporting Consultant position with a Bank in Charlotte, NC. This is a 1+ year contract opportunity with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite per week). Top 3 Requirements: • Expert-level Tableau (creating custom dashboards from scratch) • Strong Power BI reporting experience • Advanced SQL skills • Experience with Agile/JIRA • Excellent communication and personality (client-facing role) Nice to Have: • Tableau Certification • Financial Services / Banking Experience • SharePoint Development (2013) • ServiceNow experience Role Overview: The Reporting Consultant will be responsible for Tableau/Power BI reporting, visualization, and data analysis, and may identify key trends and themes at the function or product level. Responsibilities Include: • Gathering requirements, designing, developing, testing, and deploying data sets, Tableau dashboards, SSRS reports, and ad-hoc reports • Leveraging advanced Tableau/Power BI features (parameters, actions, tooltips, APIs, etc.) • Leading prototype development for BI solutions • Understanding relational database structures and business goals to extract and normalize data • Writing SQL/Hive datasets for dashboard extracts • Creating advanced SQL/Tableau calculations • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs • Hosting and attending meetings regularly • Identifying and communicating issues, risks, or blockers proactively • Ensuring full data integrity for assigned projects Skills & Experience Required: • Advanced Tableau and Power BI report/dashboard design • Strong background in data modeling and relational databases • Proficiency in SQL, SSIS, Hadoop, Oracle, or Teradata • Experience with SQL stored procedures • Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Maximo • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Self-motivated, analytical, and team-oriented • Ability to work independently and quickly build relationships with stakeholders • Prior banking experience is a plus If this opportunity aligns with your background or someone in your network may be a great fit, please reply with your updated resume or reach out directly.
