Reporting Engineer

Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Reporting Engineer to join our team. JOB DESCRIPTION This role will be reporting to the technical lead for a modernization project. The job duties will include working directly with the project team, vendors, and the business units to identify, build, and maintain crucial reports needed. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor of science in economics, computer science, information management, statistics, or possesses proven experience as a data analyst or business data analyst. Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook. Knowledgeable in relational databases, SQL, and/or Oracle. Skilled in data modeling, database design, and data mining. Understanding of statistical methods and experienced in using statistical software for data analysis. Strong analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets. Experienced in writing queries, generating reports, and presenting analytical findings. Capable of collaborating with both business and technical teams, as well as working independently. Able to deliver high-quality results within established deadlines. Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative, team-oriented, and focused on customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques. Develop and implement data analyses that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Identify existing KPIs, dashboards, and reports throughout the department. Analyze, optimize, and re-create existing KPIs, dashboards, and reports in the new solution. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Work with project team to prioritize business and information needs. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities. Understanding the AS-IS business platform and the processes that support the systems. Understanding the functional and technical requirements for the project. Supporting preparations for modernization. Organizing and attending various department meetings. DELIVERABLES Data visualization for KPIs, dashboards, and reports. Report inventory of existing KPIs, dashboards, and reports. Report inventory of desired and/or new KPIs, dashboards, and reports. Document questions and discoveries found during evaluation. Create, modify, and track all required documentation for assigned tasks. Create necessary design documents.
