Role: Reporting Tools Administrator
Location: Hybrid in Oakland CA(2 days onsite)
Rate: $60 -$70/hr on W2
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Reporting Tools Administrator to manage and support enterprise reporting platforms including SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), Power BI, and Tableau. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless connectivity, performance, and security of reporting tools interfacing with multiple data sources such as Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server. Strong expertise in Azure Cloud services and excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential to
support cloud-based data integration and foster cross-team partnerships
Key Responsibilities
β’ Administer and maintain reporting platforms: SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), Power BI, and Tableau
β’ Configure and optimize data connections to Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server databases, including cloud-hosted instances
β’ Leverage Azure Cloud services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database) to support data pipelines and reporting workflows
β’ Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to ensure high availability and reliability of reporting environments
β’ Manage user access, security roles, and permissions across reporting tools in compliance with data governance policies
β’ Collaborate effectively with data engineers, BI developers, cloud architects, and business users to support report deployment and data integration requirement
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
β’ Proven experience administering SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), Power BI, and Tableau in enterprise environments
β’ Strong understanding of data sources such as Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server, including connection and authentication mechanisms
β’ Expertise with Azure Cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database
β’ Demonstrated strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
β’ Experience with report scheduling, data refreshes, and automation within reporting tools
Preferred Skills
β’ Familiarity with scripting or automation tools related to reporting platforms
β’ Exposure to data governance and compliance frameworks
β’ Experience with cloud data platforms and integrations beyond Azure, such as Snowflake on cloud
