Role description
The Resident Solutions Architect works directly with customers to ensure successful adoption of the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. You will embed with client teams to guide architecture, optimize workloads, and enable best practices across data engineering, governance, and ML/AI.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead architecture and design of Lakehouse solutions using Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Spark.
• Provide hands-on guidance to customer engineering teams on data ingestion, transformation, governance, and performance tuning.
• Run enablement sessions, workshops, and technical deep dives to accelerate platform maturity.
• Support implementation of security, lineage, and compliance best practices.
• Collaborate with Databricks account teams to align solutions with customer goals and roadmap.
Qualifications
• Strong experience with Databricks and modern data engineering (Python, SQL, Spark).
• Knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data and analytics designs.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Background in data engineering, data architecture, or ML/analytics preferred.
Preferred
• Databricks certifications.
• Experience with streaming, orchestration, or MLflow.
• Prior consulting or resident engineer experience.
