Title: Junior data Analyst - (Retail Energy)
Terms of Employment:
• W2 Contract, 24 Months (Possible Permanent Conversion)
• This position is remote on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Weekly onsite work in downtown Houston, TX on Wednesdays is required.
Overview & Responsibilities:
Join a dynamic team at a leading retail energy company as a Business Analyst. In this role, you will be a critical checkpoint for ensuring the accuracy of customer contracts. You will be responsible for the detailed review and verification of contract data against our internal systems, playing a vital part in the customer lifecycle and maintaining data integrity. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented individual with a background in the retail energy industry who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
You will…
• Perform meticulous reviews of new customer contracts, verifying details such as customer name, price, and term.
• Compare contract data against information in our systems to ensure perfect alignment before booking.
• Collaborate with various internal teams, including Sales and Operations, to investigate and resolve any discrepancies found during the review process.
• Manage a high volume of contracts daily, ensuring both speed and accuracy in processing.
• Communicate professionally and effectively through email and other channels to facilitate corrections and ensure contracts are booked successfully.
Required Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of professional experience, preferably in an analyst role.
• Experience within the retail energy industry (power/electric) is required.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree.
• Prior experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems.
• Working knowledge of UDC/ISO/LDC market EDI transactions.
